Modularity & Extensibility

Cosmos was designed around LEGO-style components. Chains start with a minimal set of modules and can add new capabilities—EVM compatibility, privacy layers, AI proofs—simply by importing or authoring additional modules.

This modular design future-proofs the network: new cryptographic primitives or incentive mechanisms can be introduced without a full rewrite. For consumer products that must evolve quickly, it means Lylo can iterate on features like account abstraction or gas-fee sponsorship with surgical precision.

Extensibility also fosters ecosystem specialization. Sidechains can optimize for unique workloads—DeFi, gaming, AI—while still speaking the same IBC language, creating a fabric of purpose-built yet interoperable networks.
